SHREDDING QUALITY
As with other recycling strategies, pyrolysis requires a good feedstock to supply the production lines. Considering PRECIMECA for the scrap tire preparation steps (primary and secondary shredding) guarantees a calibrated and perfectly cut product in order to manage this feed industrially.
At the crossroads between material and energy recovery, pyrolysis is a thermochemical process which makes it possible to obtain recycled carbon black (rCB) from scrap tires, a pyrolysis oil which can be recovered in the form of fuel and gases which are often reused by the process itself.
There are various technologies on the market, some of which have been developed in emerging countries which do not comply with any regulations in terms of discharges and production conditions. However, in recent years, new industrial players have developed efficient and environmentally friendly processes.
STATIONARY OR MOBILE PRIMARY SHREDDERS
PRECIMECA has a complete range of stationary or mobile primary shredders depending on the quantity and type of tires to be shredded.
In order to limit the cost of transport, an operation of primary shredding of scrap tires is particularly advantageous by making it possible to multiply by two the mass transported.
PRECIMECA CUT QUALITY
Civil engineering applications require a superior cut quality (without barbs or wires) and a regular and homogeneous size of shreds in order to guarantee the desired mechanical characteristics.
The dedicated range of PRECIMECA shredders has made it possible to guarantee these features at numerous sites for many years.
In perfectly calibrated shredded form (sometimes called TDA for Tire Derived Aggregate), scrap tires can be used in public works or civil engineering works to replace and often outperforms stones, gravel or other common filling materials.
PRECIMECA CLEAN CUT QUALITY
PRECIMECA is recognized worldwide for the cutting quality of its tire shredders. Both end users (cement manufacturers for example) and their suppliers are looking for efficient and reliable equipment. The use of a range of machines specially designed for shredding scrap tires guarantees performance (throughput, energy consumption, availability rate, etc.) throughout the whole life time of the knives.
Scrap tires can be used as alternative fuel to replace coal, petcoke or oil. These industries which seek to reduce their fossil energy consumption (cement factories, paper mills, steel plants, etc.) appreciate its high calorific value and its homogeneity.
In addition to the energy supplied, the composition of the tires also allows a subsitution of part of the silica and the iron needed in the clinker formula, for example. This is called co-processing.
Srap tires can be used as aggregates in various applications such as sports floors, playgrounds or even the manufacture of rubber wheels. Complete plants then make it possible to produce the desired particle size according to the application. The metal and textile parts are separated during the different grinding stages.
